Greens Senator Scott Ludlam has laid out his focus areas for improving privacy and transparency when it comes to the use of citizens' personal data by commercial companies and government agencies.
Greens Communications Spokesman Scott Ludlam today welcomed Malcolm Turnbull’s appointment as Shadow Communications Minister but warned the Liberal heavyweight against “wrecking” Labor’s National Broadband Network project.
There were mixed reactions from politicians, industry and lobbyists on Friday to communications minister, Stephen Conroy’s revelation that the Government’s controversial internet filtering legislation would be delayed for a year while a review was held into the Refused Classification category of content which the filter would block.
