Quest Software is on the hunt for new resellers following the appointment of partner manager, Gavin Griffiths.
Quest offers management software for applications, databases and the Windows environment. It is best known for its flagship database tool, Toad.
Griffiths said he had stepped into the newly-created role with an eye on widening the software vendor's partner network and driving new sales opportunities. The software company currently has 11 key global and local partners including IBM, HP, Dell, CSC, EDS, Avenade and Accenture.
"We have been reasonably selective with our resellers as the product set is quite complex," he said. "Having said that, there are people out there who can be quite small, but have particular market segment knowledge and will be interesting to us."
Before his role with Quest, Griffiths spent 16 years with Sun Microsystems in both the UK and Australia in channel management and major account sales roles.
