Department of Infrastructure re-signs with ASG

IT services firm has been working with dept for 7 years

The Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development has re-signed with ASG (ASX: ASZ) for infrastructure services, desktop services and service management for the department’s IT environment.

The five-year deal is worth $23.8 million.

ASG has been providing managed services to the department for seven years.

Earlier this month, the Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET) signed a two-year, $9 million managed services contract with ASG.

The contract's scope included servers, storage and backup, hosted from DET data centres for the department’s Information Technology Division.

The contract includes three optional one-year contract extensions.

ASG has worked with DET since early 2007 on application maintenance and infrastructure hosting services of a payroll system and recruitment on line system.

In August, ASG reported revenues of $164 million for the year ended 30 June 2015.

This was up from $160 million in 2014. ASG signed over $200 million in contracts over the last 12 months.
