• Amcom to buy IP systems

  Western Australia-headquartered Amcom Telecommunications will acquire internet protocol communications provider, IP Systems in a deal worth $6.5 million.

• Markinson acquires Adexio

  Local business software provider Markinson has acquired CRM/BPM specialist Adexio as part of its Australian and New Zealand expansion plans.

• HP to acquire 3Com (updated)

  HP has signed a definitive agreement to acquire 3Com Corporation for approximately $US2.7 billion.
  The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including the receipt of domestic and foreign regulatory approvals and the approval of 3Com's stockholders, and is expected to close in the first half of calendar 2010.

  Adobe has agreed to buy Web analytics company Omniture for $US1.8 billion in cash, the companies said Tuesday.

• CA to buy NetQoS for $US200 million

  CA has announced plans to acquire NetQoS for $US200 million, adding application-aware network and systems management products to the software maker's broad enterprise IT management portfolio.

• EMC bids $1.8 billion for Data Domain

  EMC on Monday moved to head off NetApp's proposed acquisition of data de-duplication vendor Data Domain, offering about US$1.8 billion compared with NetApp's May 20 bid of $1.5 billion.
